Journalist, Broadcaster & Performer

Isabel has worked for several media as a journalist, broadcaster and interviewer, in both the UK and Spain, including the BBC World Service (Spanish Section) in Bush House, London, where for several years she was a full-time broadcaster, producer and presenter. At the BBC she worked on current affairs and cultural programmes, with both recorded and live presentation, as well as producing and presenting the weekly Arts programme, 'Artes y Letras', and the 'English by Radio' classes. She has authored and voiced language-learning material, mostly for the BBC.

 

Also a performer and voice-over artist, she regularly takes part in Performance Poetry and Spoken Word events. Isabel was a member of Teatro Español en Londres (Telón), which staged, among other plays, Lorca's 'La casa de Bernarda Alba'. She is a member of Equity, the Actors' union.
